WEEK 7 OF TEACHING PRACTICE PHASE 1, (DAY 30-32)

 DAY 30, 28/10/2024 Today, on the 30th day of my teaching practice, I arrived at school at 9:00 AM to fulfill my discipline duty responsibilities. After completing the duty, I signed the register and was assigned substitution duties for the fifth and sixth standards. I managed to arrange two periods for the 8th C class. During these periods, I covered the topics of scientific methods in agriculture and strategies for making agriculture profitable. The class on making agriculture profitable was particularly engaging, as it involved a brainstorming session with the students. The students actively participated in the discussion, sharing their ideas and insights. I facilitated the discussion, guiding the students towards relevant points and ensuring that everyone had an opportunity to contribute. WEEK 6 OF TEACHING PRACTICE PHASE 1 (DAY 26-29)

 DAY 26, 21/10/2024, Today, on the 26th day of my teaching practice, I arrived at school at 9:00 AM to fulfill my discipline duty responsibilities. After ensuring that all students adhered to the school's dress code and ID card policy, I prepared for my second-period class. Unexpectedly, we received a surprise observation visit from Srimathi Shobha Kumari, our general teacher. Despite the short notice, I quickly organized my lesson plan and prepared a 3D model to visually represent polyhouse farming. The 3D model proved to be an effective tool in explaining the concept to the students, who actively engaged with the material. WEEK 5 OF TEACHING PRACTICE PHASE 1 (DAY 21-25)

 DAY 21, 14/10/2024 Today, being Monday, I was assigned discipline duty as usual. After completing the duty, I signed the register and prepared for the day. During the third period, I had a scheduled class with 8th C, where I finished the topic of Livestock Management and Poultry Farming from the chapter Reaping Diversity. The students were attentive and engaged, making the lesson flow smoothly. In addition to my scheduled class, I had substitution periods with 5th C and 6th D, where I helped manage the class and engage the students with relevant discussions.  A significant part of the day involved assisting students in preparing models for the upcoming Science Exhibition, which is being conducted across Kerala state schools. It was a great opportunity to help students channel their creativity and enthusiasm into their projects.   DAY 17, 7/10/2024 Today marked the 17th day of my teaching practice, dated October 7, 2024. Since I didn’t have any scheduled periods for 8th standard, most of my day was dedicated to substitution duties. I reached the school at 9:10 a.m. and took up my discipline duty, checking the uniforms of the students entering the school. Afterward, I signed the attendance register and prepared for the day. I was assigned substitution duties in various classes, including 5B, 7C, 6D, 9E, and 9F, which I managed throughout the day. Following the completion of the 5th class, I signed off the register and left the school at 4:30 p.m. The day was fairly routine with no major events, but I made sure to engage the students during my substitution periods.   Today marked the 15th day of my teaching practice, dated October 4, 2024. I arrived at the school at 9:30 a.m., signed the register, and started the day with substitution classes for the 5th standard (5C) during the first period.  Later, during the 4th period, I had my scheduled class with 8th C, where I taught a lesson on chemical fertilizers. I began the class by engaging the students with random questions, such as asking what they had for breakfast and how many dishes they had, to spark interest in the topic. I then showed a video of a man spraying fertilizer on crops and asked why he was wearing protective gear. The students correctly responded that it was because the chemicals were poisonous, which led into my explanation of chemical fertilizers and the harmful effects of their excessive use. DAY 15 OF TEACHING PRACTICE PHASE 1, 3/10/2024

 Today is the 15th day of my teaching practice, dated October 3, 2024. I reached the school at 9:00 a.m. and had discipline duty in the morning, where I checked the students' uniforms, nails, ribbons, and other details. After completing the duty, we signed the attendance register.  In the morning session, I was assigned substitution classes for 5th, 6th, and 7th standards. For the 7th standard, I taught a basic science lesson. During the 5th standard's PT period, I took the students to the ground, where they played while I supervised them. For the 6th standard, I engaged the students in an interactive session, asking general knowledge questions and playing a vocabulary game. In the afternoon session, I had my scheduled class with 8th C to complete my lesson plan. Since it was the seventh and last period, the students were tired, but I managed to capture their attention with an introductory video on microbial fertilizers. DAY 14 OF TEACHING PRACTICE PHASE 1, 01/10/2024

Today marked the 14th day of my teaching practice. We reached the school at 9:30 a.m., and there was an assembly for all students held on the ground. During the assembly, the students took a pledge on rabies infection precautions, as there have been several stray dogs infected and roaming near the school premises. After the assembly, I had a class with 8th C, where I covered the topic of "Essential Elements Needed for Plant Growth." I used ICT videos and review charts to make the lesson more engaging, and the students seemed to find the class interesting. After lunch, I was assigned substitution duties for 6th and 7th standard classes. Later in the afternoon, at 3:00 p.m., there was a PTA meeting for classes 5 to 9. The day concluded with us signing the register and leaving the school premises by 4:00 p.m.
