WEEK 6 OF TEACHING PRACTICE PHASE 1 (DAY 26-29)

 DAY 26, 21/10/2024,

Today, on the 26th day of my teaching practice, I arrived at school at 9:00 AM to fulfill my discipline duty responsibilities. After ensuring that all students adhered to the school's dress code and ID card policy, I prepared for my second-period class.

Unexpectedly, we received a surprise observation visit from Srimathi Shobha Kumari, our general teacher. Despite the short notice, I quickly organized my lesson plan and prepared a 3D model to visually represent polyhouse farming. The 3D model proved to be an effective tool in explaining the concept to the students, who actively engaged with the material. Following the observation, I handled some substitution duties before leaving school at 4:30 PM.

DAY 27, 23/10/2024,

Today, on the 27th day of my teaching practice, I arrived at school at 9:30 AM. Despite not having a scheduled period for 8th C, I took the initiative to arrange two periods to cover the topics of Precision Farming, Hydroponics, and Aeroponics.

To enhance understanding, I utilized a 3D model to demonstrate the principles of precision farming. The visual aid proved effective in engaging the students and facilitating their comprehension of the topic.

Subsequently, I delved into hydroponics and aeroponics. A 3D model was employed to illustrate hydroponic systems, while a video was used to explain aeroponics. The students actively participated in the discussion and were able to answer questions accurately. After completing the lessons, I left school at 4:30 PM.

DAY 28, 24/10/2024

Today, on the 28th day of my teaching practice, I arrived at school at 9:30 AM. I was assigned substitution duties for the fifth, sixth, and eighth standards. In the evening, I conducted a review session for the eighth standard C class.

During the seventh period, I taught a lesson on traditional and modern methods of agriculture to the eighth standard C class. After completing the lesson, I signed the register and left the school at 4:30 PM.

DAY 29, 25/10/2024

On the 29th day of my teaching practice, October 25th, 2024, I arrived at school at 9:00 AM to fulfill my discipline duty responsibilities. After ensuring that all students adhered to the school's dress code and ID card policy, I prepared for my fourth-period class.

During the fourth period, I taught the importance of indigenous varieties in agriculture to the 8th standard C class. In the sixth period, I continued the lesson by discussing the supporting organizations that assist farmers in maximizing agricultural profits. After completing the lessons, I conducted the diagnostics test for the students for some of the lessons that I taught earlier in the class. Only 19 students were present and could attend the test out of 35 students due to heavy rain. After completion of all the assigned duties, I signed the register and left the school by 4:30 PM.
