WEEK 5 OF TEACHING PRACTICE PHASE 2

 Day  – 18, (20/01/25)

Today was the 18th day of my teaching practice. I reached the school as usual by 9:30 a.m., signed in the register, and attended my substitution duties for 5th and 6th standard classes.

In the afternoon, I conducted the Diagnostic Test for 8th C. However, due to the recent festivals, only a few students were present. I proceeded with the test for those who attended and later collected the answer sheets.

After completing my duties, I signed out at 4:30 p.m. and left the school.

 Day  – 19, (21/01/25)

Today was the 19th day of my teaching practice. I reached the school as usual and prepared for the observation of my class by our natural science teacher, Smt. Alli.

For the observation, I conducted a lesson on lost links (extinct animals) for 8th C. Since students had never seen these species before, I prepared ICT videos and images to help them visualize and understand the topic better. The lesson went smoothly, and students actively engaged with the content.

After the class, the teacher recorded her observations and feedback in her book. Once the school day ended, I signed out at 4:30 p.m. and left the premises.

Day– 20 (22/01/25)

I reached the school at 9:30 a.m., signed in the register, and received my substitution duties. Today, I had duties in 8th C.

In the first period, I conducted a lesson on endangered species. I showed students images of various endangered species like the civet cat, lion-tailed macaque, and Ashoka tree. I explained the causes of extinction and the importance of conserving these species. The students engaged well with the topic.

In the next period, I conducted a remedial class based on the evaluation of the diagnostic test. I identified the questions that most students answered incorrectly and prepared a lesson plan to reteach those concepts. This helped reinforce their understanding.

At the end of the day, I signed out in the register and left the school premises by 4:30 p.m.
