WEEK 1 OF TEACHING PRACTICE PHASE 2.
Day 1 –
Sick leave
Day 2 -
Today marked the beginning of the second phase of my B.Ed. teaching practice. I was assigned to the same school, NRPM High School, Kayamkulam, as in the first phase. Since I was already familiar with the school, I felt comfortable entering and settling in.
I signed the attendance register upon arrival and met with the Headmistress and the concerned Biology teachers to discuss the portions I needed to cover during this phase. This gave me clarity for preparing lesson plans.
In the morning, I managed substitution duties in 7th and 6th classes. In the afternoon, during the 7th period, I had a scheduled class with 8th C, where I conducted revision classes to help them prepare for their upcoming Christmas examinations.
The day was productive and smooth. I signed out at 4:30 p.m. and left the school.
Day 3 --
Today being Friday, classes started at 9:30 a.m. I reached the school by 9:00 a.m. and attended to my discipline duty.
In the second period, I had a substitution duty in 7th A. During the fourth period, I conducted a scheduled class with 8th C, where I continued the revision of the Classification chapter to help students prepare for their exams.
In the afternoon, I managed two substitution periods in 6th C.
The day was smooth and productive, and I left the school at 4:30 p.m. after signing out.
Day 4 -
Today was Monday and a very rainy day. I reached the school by 9:30 a.m., signed in at the headmistress's office, and took up some discipline duties.
I did not have any scheduled periods in 8th Standard today, but I managed substitution duties in classes 5th, 6th, and 7th.
Due to the heavy rain, the classes were dismissed early at 3:00 p.m. After signing the register, I left the school premises.
