DAY 13, 30/9/24
Today marked the 13th day of our teaching practice, and it was an eventful and productive day. We arrived at the school at 9:00 a.m. for our discipline duty, checking students for proper uniform, ID cards, and ribbons. After completing this duty, we signed the attendance register in the HM’s room and prepared for our morning classes.
I was assigned to take classes for 6th and 7th standards in the morning session. Today was special as we were scheduled to conduct a session on personal hygiene and cleanliness as part of the "Swachh Bharat Mission", organized by our college NSS Union. Wearing our "My Bharat" badges, we began the session during the third period with the 7th A class.
We started the class by showing videos on personal hygiene, which the students found engaging. Following the videos, we demonstrated the correct steps of hand washing, and the students actively participated by practicing the steps. It was a very interactive session, and the students responded well, thanking us for teaching them valuable hygiene practices.
After the personal hygiene session, we had the responsibility of serving lunch to all the students, which we managed efficiently.
In the afternoon, I had my scheduled class with 8th C, where I successfully completed my third lesson plan on "Obstacles Faced by Farmers." The lesson went well, and I was able to effectively use my teaching and learning aids to ensure that the students understood the content. They participated actively in the activities, and I felt satisfied with their engagement and comprehension.
The day concluded with the prize distribution ceremony for the Sports Day held last Friday. Many students received prizes and certificates for their outstanding performance, and the overall championship was awarded. It was a delightful way to end the day, and the students were filled with excitement and pride.
Overall, today was a fulfilling day, both in terms of teaching and participating in school activities.
