DAY 8 OF TEACHING PRACTICE PHASE 1, 23/9/24

Day Reflection: September 23, 2024 (8th Day of Teaching Practice)

After the Onam vacation, we resumed our teaching practice on September 23, 2024. The day began with our arrival at the school at 9:30 a.m., where we promptly signed in the attendance register at the HM's room, marking the official start of the day.

The focus of the day was largely on the post-examination tasks, as some teachers were engaged in correcting and distributing the answer sheets of the Onam examination that had taken place before the holidays. Our responsibility was to assist in this process by taking substitution duties for various classes. We were assigned to supervise classes for 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th standards. However, since the teachers were busy distributing answer sheets and discussing the students' performances, we did not get many opportunities to conduct lessons or engage in extensive teaching activities today.

Despite the limited teaching hours, it was a productive day as we fulfilled our duties of maintaining discipline and ensuring a conducive learning environment during the substitution periods. By 4:00 p.m., we signed out in the attendance register and concluded the day's practice.

Though the day involved less teaching, it provided insight into the administrative aspects of school life post-examinations and gave us a chance to observe the teachers' interaction with students concerning their exam performance.
