DAY 11 OF TEACHING PRACTICE PHASE 1, 26/9/24
Day Reflection: September 26, 2024 (11th Day of Teaching Practice)
Today marked the 11th day of our teaching practice, and I reached the school at 9:30 a.m. After the morning assembly, we signed the attendance register and received our substitution duties for the day. I was assigned classes for 6th and 7th standards during the morning session.
For the 7th standard, I taught a basic science lesson on the chapter "Light." I explained concepts such as luminous and non-luminous objects, along with transparent, translucent, and opaque objects. To enhance understanding, I showed the students some educational videos related to these concepts, which they found engaging and informative.
Later, I had another substitution for 7th A during their PT period. I took the students to the ground, where they played various games and enjoyed some time outdoors.
I was scheduled to take my 8th C class in the afternoon, for which I had prepared my teaching aids and lesson plans. However, due to a PTA meeting for the 10th standard, I had to miss my session and was unable to proceed with the planned lesson.
Overall, it was a mixed day. While the morning sessions were productive and interactive, the afternoon's planned class could not be carried out. Nonetheless, I look forward to continuing with my lessons in the upcoming days.
